"Mixed media" is the trend identified in reviews of the runway shows in Milan this past week-- the combining of luxurious touches into every day garments.
Think fur and wool, leather or suede and wool, along the neck, shoulders or sleeves. All were seen in Milan in the collections presented by Gucci, Botega, Fendi and Cavalli.
The best piece we caught a glimpse of- a black faux-fur sleeved leather motorcycle jacket.
Think of clothing that works on a golf course and that can be worn for errands or dining out without the risk of you feeling under-dressed. Versatility in fashion- clearly being driven by economics.
Of course, what we seen in couture here is often what we try to emulate in our activewear and womens golf apparel in the coming fall and spring.
Watch our site and announcements for some startling new combinations of fabric. We've already sketched a few unique mixed media looks and new texture combinations for golf skorts and womens golf jackets and golf pants.
