COLD WEATHER GEAR MAKES ITS DEBUT AT THE WOMEN’S BRITISH OPEN

SOUTHPORT, ENGLAND (August 1,  2010) – With the unpredictable weather in England, LPGA players at the 2010 RICOH Women’s British Open came out in head-to-toe cold weather gear.

During our Sunday’s Best fashion review, we saw that bright colors paired with neutrals, such as black and navy blue, were still a popular trend.  The women golfers wore long sleeve shirts, sweaters, golf pants and capris to bare the cool weather.

“We always incorporate fashion in our latest designs, but functionality is just as important,” said Tracey Blake, designer and founder of women’s golf apparel company, tracey lynn, LLC, as was demonstrated at the Women’s British Open.

“This same idea is represented in one of our newest outfits within our Black to Basics collection, our Black Fleece Jacket with Leopard Contrast and matching Black Fleece Golf Pant. It still has the style tracey lynn is known for, but keeps you warm on the course for the cooler days and dries quickly,” said Blake.

All of the players wore their cool weather gear, but Katherine Hull, Christie Kerr and In-Kyung Kim did it in style. They all successfully mixed fashion with functionality; however, this year’s Sunday’s Best title goes to Christie Kerr. She complimented her teal Lacoste sweater with black pants and accessories for the perfect combination of style and function.

Blake, who is a well known women’s golf apparel designer uses fashion verses function in all her designs, see all her collections at www.traceylynngolf.com.

QUICK STITCH
“Always look for fashionable golf clothes that also meet the performance needed while out on the course,” said Blake who uses wicking and UV protectant fabrics in all of her designs.
