SHORTS ON THE RISE IN FASHION

In a recent issue of Women's Wear Daily, an article reported shorts are "having another fashion moment."  Many retailers are pushing women's shorts this summer and report doing double-digit increases in shorts category already this year. 

Bloomingdale's signage is touting shorts as "the summer essential from minis to to knee-length". and Lord & Taylor is quoted as being up 30 percent in womens short sales.

TRACEY LYNN'S TRENDS

The other day I was interviewed by a Ganette publication to discuss trends and the tracey lynn golf clothing line.  (We will post the link with the interview once it’s up and running.)  Since that interview, I’ve been thinking about one of the questions that I was asked which was “where do you see things trending?”

"CONSIDER ONSHORING" READ A RECENT HEADLINE

My company has looked into but never been able to get comfortable sending its manufacturing overseas. Our women's golf clothing is made in New York City's Garment District where we can see everything. Working conditions and age of the workers particularly concerns me.
 
That said, I found the comment below interesting. I didn’t realize that major manufacturers are moving operations back to the US.
